NOTICE TO BIDDERS: Minisink Valley Central School District

NOTICE TO BIDDERS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that sealed Bids, in duplicate, are sought and requested by the Board of Education, Minisink Valley Central School District (hereinafter called "Owner"), for the EXCEL 2B - Reconstruction to the Minisink Valley Jr. High (Middle) School, the Minisink Valley High School, and the Waste Water Treatment Plant. Bids are requested for the following Contracts:
General Work Plumbing (Propane Tank) Work
Electrical Work in accordance with the Drawings, Project Manual (including Conditions of the Contract and Specifications), and other Bidding and Contract Documents prepared by: Tetra Tech Engineers, Architects & Landscape Architects, P.C. d/b/a Tetra Tech Architects & Engineers 1 Michael Avenue, Suite 1 Farmingdale, New York 11735Sealed Bids will be received by the Owner until 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at the Minisink Valley Board of Education Room, located at the Minisink Valley Middle School, 2320 Route 6, Slate Hill, New York 10973, at which time and place Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud. For the convenience of potential Bidders and other interested parties, the Bidding Documents may be examined at the following locations: Minisink Valley Central School District, 2320 Route 6, Slate Hill, NY 10973 Tetra Tech Architects & Engineers, 1 Michael Ave., Suite 1, Farmingdale, New York 11735 Complete sets of Bidding Documents are available either as a paper copy or in .pdf format on compact disk; please specify which of these formats is requested. Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained by Bidders from Tetra Tech Architects & Engineers at the following address, upon payment of a deposit of $100 for each complete paper set or $50 for each compact disk (.pdf set) and a separate, non-refundable shipping and handling payment for each set of $15.00. Tetra Tech Architects & Engineers 1 Michael Avenue, Suite 1 Farmingdale, New York 11735 Bidders who have paid the deposit for an entire paper set of Bidding Documents; have submitted a Bid with required bid security; and returned such set to the Architect in good condition within 30 days following the award of Contract or rejection of Bids, shall receive a full refund of the deposit for one set. Partial reimbursement, in an amount equal to the full deposit less the actual cost of Bidding Document reproduction, shall be made for all other paper sets returned in good condition within 30 days following award of Contract or rejection of Bids. Partial sets or portions of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Architect upon making a written request listing the Drawing numbers and Project Manual sections desired, and upon payment equal to the cost of reproducing, shipping and handling same; no part of such payment shall be refunded. Entities obtaining partial sets or portions of the Bidding Documents are advised that they remain responsible for all information contained in the complete set of Bidding Documents. All checks for sets of Bidding Documents, complete or partial, shall be made payable to the Owner. As bid security, each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond made payable to the Owner, in accordance with the amounts and terms described in the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner requires Bids comply with bidding requirements indicated in the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner may, at its discretion, waive informalities in Bids, but is not obligated to do so, nor does it represent that it will do so. The Owner also reserves the right to reject any and all Bids. The Owner will not waive informalities which would give one Bidder substantial advantage or benefit not enjoyed by all affected Bidders. Bids may not be withdrawn before 45 days following the Bid opening thereof, unless an error is claimed by the Bidder in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
